Blueprint '23  Mentor and Judging Application
We're looking for mentors and judges for this year's MIT Blueprint hackathon! To be eligible to mentor or judge, you must NOT be a high school student (i.e. you could be an undergraduate/graduate student or working).

What you'll do as a mentor: make it the best experience possible. We need your help to guide our hackers and help them work through the problems they are hoping to solve throughout the event. Mentors will select shifts during which they will respond to hackers' help requests, ranging from industry-specific questions to helping beginners build their first web app.

What you'll do as a judge: be responsible for viewing and selecting extraordinary projects from our Blueprint 2023 submissions on Sunday, Feb. 19 7:00-8:30pm EST. We are asking judges to commit 1.5 hours of their time to this event. Judges will rank projects they are scheduled to view in 10-minute time slots to determine which projects will be eligible to win our top prizes.

Judges and mentors will be required to attend a mandatory orientation session at date/time TBD before the event to familiarize themselves with our platform and to get any questions answered.

IMPORTANT: If you commit to a time slot, it is incredibly important that you show up on time as hackers will be waiting in their virtual rooms as soon as judging starts!

By becoming a mentor or judge, you'll not only have the opportunity to see incredible projects, you'll also receive the full benefits of attending Blueprint, including Blueprint swag, access to workshops, tech talks, and other auxiliary events!

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at volunteer@hackmit.org or leave your questions at the end of this form!
